Here is a growing list of “experts” who have volunteered to share their learning; knowledge and experience about the nuts and bots of “Conformity” help us in these decisions.

Brett Gagnon

Brett Gagnon is currently one of the subject matter experts for electrical equipment and electrical medical devices at Merck KGaA Darmstadt Germany, otherwise known as Millipore Sigma within North America. He has an Electrical Engineering degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology and a Masters of Business from Southern New Hampshire University. He has a background in the ATIC (Assurance Testing Inspection Certification) industry based on previous years working for Intertek Testing Services NA Inc out of the Boston Ma area. During his time at Intertek he became a CB certified engineer evaluating products to medical, laboratory, IT, and Industrial standards. He also has a knowledge base in laser, Ingress Protection testing and wireless radio registration. Additionally he was a Field label and Special Inspection agent reviewing large custom equipment for national safety approvals in North America.

Chuck Ramani

Chuck Ramani is the founding President of International Accreditation Service, Inc. (IAS); a nonprofit, scientific organization recognized world-wide for its accreditation programs. He has over forty-five years’ experience in the construction industry, including supervision of quality control programs, preparation of test standards, training on conformity assessment standards, leading assessment and evaluation teams for onsite audits of certification bodies, researching and evaluating new building products and systems, supervision and management of testing laboratories and product certification agencies and management of an internationally recognized Laboratory and Inspection Body Accreditation Program.

DAVID S. WROTH

David Wroth is the Director of Data Science for UL Standards & Engagement, using data to identify opportunities to address safety issues across the globe. He leads a team that collects and analyzes data from disparate sources and develops insights to improve standards that support safe living and working environments for people. The team is leveraging natural language processing for improving safety standards and employing machine learning algorithms to rapidly identify safety issues from text sources. David serves on the U. S. Department of Transportation Lithium Battery Aviation Safety Advisory committee, addressing the risk of lithium battery thermal runaway incidents on aircraft. Previously, Mr. Wroth was the director of public safety, responsible for leading key initiatives of the Public Safety Office and integrating these functions with other UL organizational programs. David received a Master of Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University.

Guillermo Curi

Guillermo Curi is graduated in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de Buenos Aires – Argentina, he has a post degree in Business Management and a Specialization in Service Management. He has been working for more than 19 years in the field of conformity assessment and also participates in the IECEE CB Scheme as Technical Assessor and a member of the Committee for Factory Surveillance. He has a breadth and depth of knowledge about technical conformity requirements of most of the South American countries of Argentina, Brazil , Colombia, Perú, Equator and Uruguay).

Pamela Mattioli

Pamela Mattioli is an International Fire Doors Consultant dealing with Research, Innovation and Training at Coprai Lab (www.coprailab.com). She has been dealing with fire doors certification all over the world, helping companies in the design of fire doors for obtaining any International Certification, which allows them to be more competitive and position themselves in the highest segment of the market. Additionally Pamela Mattioli is collaborating with relevant Laboratories and Certification Bodies in sampling inspections and FPC. She is also an entrepreneur who owns two companies based in Italy.

Rajaram Kalpathi

Business Leader with extensive expertise in Technical, Leadership and Advisory capacities. Successfully lead challenging P&L roles as head of the Indian Subcontinent and member of the board of directors in Multinational organizations in the Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) sector for over two decades. Prior to this, he worked for 13 years in India, the United States (one and half years in high-end technology transfers as a part of the core team) and South Korea in the domains of Project Management, Manufacturing,Quality assurance and Industrial Automation.

Rajaram holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s Diploma in Business Administration. Regarding other activities, he is a self-taught Electronic Keyboard player, Painter of various hues of scenic beauty and loves traveling and exploring new places.

Shivkumar Vishwanathan

Shivkumar Vishwanathan has over two decades of experience in the Pharma industry. In 2015 he started GVS Cibatech Pvt Ltd along with his partners as an organisation dedicated to providing independent, knowledge-based services to users and providers of chemicals, pharmaceuticals and performance materials across a range of industries.

Sunanda Kadam

Sunanda Kadam has over 20 years of experience in chemical and regulatory compliance. Currently, she supports global clients in complying with chemical and environmental regulations, such as REACH, ROHS, and California’s Prop 65, as well as various food contact and packaging, biocide, and cosmetic regulations.  Her experience in regulatory consulting is complemented by her expertise in risk assessments, supply chain management, sustainability, and assurance services for international exports. She has a specific interest in sustainability innovations within the packaging industry, as she believes sustainability is a growing factor for products being developed and marketed around the world. Additionally, she has authored articles on global chemical regulations and their impact on industry, and the Globally Harmonized Systems (GHS) for classification & labelling of chemicals, which were featured in several industry publications.
